 Loy Krathong is a festival held on the night of the 12th full moon. The festival is held to pay homage to the goddess of rivers and water.
On that day, thousands of people will gather beside the canals and rivers. With kratong (small boats with flowers and candles) in hands, they light the candle, put some coins in the kratong and silently make a wish, and carefully place their kratongs in the water and release them to the current.
 Loy Krathong è un festival celebrato la notte della 12esima luna piena per rendere omaggio alle divinità dei fiumi e dell'acqua.
Il giorno della festa la gente si riunisce lungo i corsi d'acqua. Con in mano delle piccole barchette fatte di fiori (krathong), la gente esprime un desiderio e accende una candela, liberando i kratong nell'acqua affinchè vengano portati via dalla corrente. Si spera che la fiamma delle candele dei krathong non si spenga, segno di lunga vita e desideri avverati.
