130km west of Bangkok, Kanchanaburi is well known for the famous Bridge on the River Kwai. Even if it looks quite an ordinary bridge, its war history makes it is special.
Train enthusiasts may enjoy the old rail engines used during WWII.
Around Kanchanaburi, sugar cane plantations, rice fields, and some nice Wat and Caves.
