The most spectacular Hindu festival in Malaysia is Thaipusam.
Now banned in India, Thaipusam is celebrated in Malaysia at the Batu Caves, Pulau Penang and in Johor Bahru. We were so lucky to be in Pulau Penang at the time of the Thaipusam.
It is a crazy festival: millions of devotees, body pierciengs, masochistic acts,... the devotees form a constant procession to the main shrine.
