Batu Ferringhi beach, at about 30 minutes by bus from Georgetown, is a long beach in front of the ocean. The beach is fine for sunbathing, but the water is not as clear as you could expect, and it is not fine for swimming and snorkeling.
After sunset, the Batu Ferringhi sidewalk transforms into a bazar where traders from all over the island set up theirs stalls.
