Kuala Lumpur - Batu Caves The huge Batu Caves, limestone caves, are just 15 km away from Kuala Lumpur. The main cave is reached by 272 steps. The cave is dedicated to Hindu divinities; a temple in front of the stairs, and numerous sculptures and paintings inside the cave. Inside the Batu Caves there is also a monkeys population, going around undisturbed.
